“ALASKA” Chicago: George F. Cram, c. 1888. Color-printed map with original color. (Image: 9 ½ x 12 ½’’)
This extremely detailed map depicts Alaska Territory (statehood 1959). Topographical features are well noted, with major towns, rivers, and mountains (with elevations, if known) located. Indian villages, missions and forts are also shown. A very informative view of the territory as it was known in the 1880's.
