This map depicts Tennessee with its counties named and in contrasting colors. Topographical features are detailed and major cities, towns land routes, water routes, steamboat and rail routes are identified.
The inset, lower right, lists the Steam Boat Routes from “Nashville to New Orleans” and “Nashville to Pittsburg PA “. Also included are detailed insets of “Environs of Nashville” and “Environs of Knoxville”. An excellent view of the state as it existed prior to the Civil War!
