One two-line illuminated initial in blue and white on a red ground with gold pen-work; thirteen one-line illuminated initials and twelve line-extenders (three in a branch-like form) in gold on alternating blue, red and sepia ground with gold highlights.

The one-line illuminated “R” begins Psalm 64 (King James 65) 11-14: “Rivos…” (Fill up plentifully the streams thereof, multiply its fruits; it shall spring up and rejoice in its showers. Thou shalt bless the crown of the year of thy goodness: and thy fields shall be filled with plenty. The beautiful places of the wilderness shall grow fat: and the hills shall be girded about with joy…).
The two-line illuminated “D” begins Psalm 62 (KJ 63) 1-10: “Deus…” (O God, my God, to thee do I watch at break of day. For thee my soul hath thirsted; for thee my flesh, O how many ways! In a desert land, and where there is no way, and no water: so in the sanctuary have I come before thee, to see thy power and thy glory. For thy mercy is better than lives: thee my lips shall praise…).
