This unusually detailed map depicts Virginia with its counties in contrasting colors. Topographical features are very well noted with major towns, cities, mountains, Post Offices, waterways, and railroads identified (with every stop noted).
The inset, upper left, depicts the “WESTERN PORTION OF VIRGINIA”. A very informative view of the state as it existed in the 1890’s.
