Frederick Remington (1861-1909) was a very important illustrator, painter sculptor and author of the Vanishing American West.  He began sketching for Harper's in 1882. Remington knew the Indian, the cowboy, the cavalryman and the Mexican vaquero, and hunted bison, wolves, grizzlies and moose. “Everything that happened on the plains or in the mining camps served him as subjects, and of all these he made permanent and faithful records” (Who Was Who in American Art).

This is an original photogravure about 130 years old, not a reproduction, in excellent antiquarian condition as shown in the photos.
