Post Offices, mills, swamps and water routes identified.  The Old Colbert Claim is shown in Lauderdale County, the Old Cherokee School Reservation is noted in Madison County, and the Gold Mines are noted in Chilton County.  

The inset, lower right, depicts the “ENVIRONS OF BIRMINGHAM”. An attractive view of the state as it existed in the 1890’s.
