This Pre Civil War map depicts Georgia with its counties named and in contrasting colors, and the state capital noted as Milledgeville (1804-68).

Topographical features are shown and major towns, cities, swamps, and mountains are identified. Numerous stagecoach routes and rail routes are shown (with land distances provided). 

Along the bottom is an inset detailing the Steamboat Routes from Savannah to Augusta and Charleston. An excellent view of the state as it existed prior to the Civil War!
