Original printed full uncut page of receipts for service in the General Assembly of Connecticut. Issued May 30, 1794.        Rare! (12 1/2 x 7 1/2'')

One receipt is cancelled, other five are signed by members of the Assembly:  Samuel Woodruff, Eliphalet Bulkeley, Daniel Holbrook, Joel Jones and Daniel Edgerton.

Eliphalet Bulkeley (1746-1816) was a prominent officer in the Connecticut troops during the Revolutionary War; Captain of the Colchester Company that responded to the Lexington alarm (1775); promoted Lieutenant-Colonel in May 1780.

Daniel Holbrook (1747-1813) was Colonel in militia and active in the Revolutionary War; Inspector of provisions 1780.

Joel Jones:  First Colonel of the 12th CT line regiment during the Revolutionary War; married Amasa Jones niece of Samuel Huntington who was a signer of the Declaration of Independence.

Daniel Edgerton Served as first selectman 14 years; chosen Justice of the Peace; served in State Legislature 23 terms!
