This map originally appeared in a Dutch Bible and depicts the Holy Land with North oriented to the right. The Holy Land is divided into both Roman political divisions and Hebrew tribal areas. The top shows St. Paul’s sea route from Jerusalem to Rome.

Along the bottom are vignettes depicting numerous Bible events including The Nativity, The Crucifixion, Mary Magdalene Recognizing the Risen Christ, and the Resurrection of Christ. The Four Evangelists are shown with their attributes writing their gospels: (left to right): Matthew (with an angel), Luke (with an ox), Mark (with a lion), and John (with an eagle).

In good antiquarian condition with folds as issued and some toning and soiling. Two of the folds In the lower blank margin have old paper reinforcement.
