This unusually detailed map depicts San Francisco as it was known in the early 1890’s. The old Mexican “Ranchos” are identified throughout the map (including Rancho Laguna de la Merced, San Miguel Rancho). Major streets are named and several railroads, piers, depots, parks, and buildings (including the U. S. Mint, Pioneer Hall, Custom House, and the Cliff House) are identified.
