This detailed map depicts Washington just nine years after statehood with its counties named and in contrasting pastel colors. Topographical features are well noted, with major railroads (each stop noted), lighthouses, islands and water routes identified.
Indian Reservations, mining districts and Military Reservations are also shown. Survey grids and plats referencing the work of the US Land Survey are also delineated. A very informative view of the area as it existed in the 1890’s.
