This map depicts Wisconsin in great detail. Rail routes are identified and are shown throughout the state with each stop noted. Topographical features are shown and major land routes, water routes, mountains, cities and towns are identified. Mining regions, post offices and islands are also located.

Their maps were constantly updated with new information and thus serve as an eloquent witness to the westward march of railroads, settlements, and counties as the frontier disappeared."
