One two-line illuminated initial in sepia and gold on blue ground with white penwork; sixteen one-line illuminated initials and eleven illuminated line-extenders (four in branch-like forms) in gold on alternating blue, red and sepia ground with gold highlights.
The one-line “L” begins Psalm 148: 2-14: “Laudate …” (Praise ye him all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts. Praise ye him, O sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars and light. Praise him, ye heavens of heavens: and let all the waters that are above the heavens praise the name of the Lord. For he spoke, and they were made: he commanded, and they were created. He hath established them forever, and for ages of ages: he hath made a decree, and it shall not pass away…).
The two-line illuminated “C” begins Psalm 149: 1-4: “Cantate…” (Sing ye to the Lord a new canticle: let his praise be in the church of the saints. Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: and let the children of Sion be joyful in their king…)
