This map, with its highly decorative border, depicts the State of Oregon, and Territories of Washington (statehood 1889), Idaho (statehood 1890), and western Montana (statehood 1889). Mountain passes are noted, and most major towns, cities, forts and water routes are identified.
The Emigrant Road and Emigrant Wagon Road to California are shown and the “Gold Mines” of southwest Idaho and western Montana are noted. Indian tribes and missions are located throughout. A very detailed view of the area as it existed in the mid 1860's.
