This map shows the states of Michigan and Wisconsin with counties named and in contrasting colors. The entire shoreline of Lake Michigan is depicted. Topographical features are shown and, major cities, towns, railroads (existing and in progress), islands and waterways are identified.

“Copper Region” (Houghton County)  and “Osceola Mills” (Polk County) are located. A very detailed view of the region immediately following the Civil War.
