This handsome historical map depicts Canada with “Upper Canada” “Lower Canada” “New Brunswick” and “Nova Scotia & St. Johns” named and in contrasting colors. Topographical features are shown and many cities, towns, waterways and mountains are located.  A fine example from Finley’s atlas, which was highly praised for its elegance and clarity. 

Lower Canada is the region in Canada now known as Quebec. Upper Canada is the region in Canada now known as Ontario. They retained this name from 1791 to 1841.
