This map depicts South Carolina with its counties in contrasting colors and topographical features detailed.  Many cities and towns are located and various land, water, steamboat and rail routes are identified. 

The inset, lower right, lists the Steam Boat Routes from “Charleston to Savannah” and “Savannah to Augusta “.

Also included is a detailed inset of “CHARLESTON” - with streets, boroughs, and major buildings located. An excellent view of the state as it existed prior to the Civil War.
