This unusually detailed map depicts Chicago, as it was known in the 1890’s. Railroads are shown – with each stop noted. Major streets are named and several parks are located.

Also shown is the “Indian Boundary Line” along the southern portion of the city.

The inset, upper right, depicts the city in a two mile radius with numerous buildings (including the Board of Trade, Court House, and City Hall) identified. The key beneath the inset map locates & identifies all the railroads in the city.
