[vi], 45 pp., A fine leaf book illustrated with original leaf and line cut facsimiles, including one map fold-out; frontispiece portrait of Miles Coverdale; folio (14 x 10.25 in.), quarter black cloth with gilt spine title, red cloth sides with line cut illustrations stamped on upper cover, plain dustjacket. The tipped-in original Coverdale Bible leaf is from Jeremiah chapters 35-37. Historical essay by Prof. Allen P. Wikgren. Wilgren was a New Testament scholar at the University of Chicago. The fragment from which this leaf book was created was supplied by the Huntington Library. One of 425 copies printed by Lawton and Alfred Kennedy. A fine, bright copy in a very good dust jacket (some edgewear and a few short tears).
