Dodoens (1517-1585) was a Flemish physician and botanist. The Florum et Coroniarum is one of the earliest illustrated treatises on garden flowersThe design for this woodcut was drawn by the artist Pieter van der Borcht. The block was cut by Arnaud Nicolai and G. van Kampen.
